Boots & Footwear

Are Norfin boots waterproof?

Yes. All Norfin boots are fully waterproof. Refer to each product page for model specific features.

How warm are Norfin boots?

Temperature ratings vary by model and are intended as general performance guidelines rather than guaranteed comfort temperatures. Actual performance depends on many factors, including activity level, circulation, weather conditions, wind, moisture, and the socks being worn. It is the user's responsibility to evaluate conditions and select footwear appropriate for the environment.

For the best performance, avoid overheating your feet before prolonged exposure to extreme cold. Wearing insulated boots for extended periods in warm environments such as driving a heated vehicle—can cause perspiration to build up inside the boot. When you later step into freezing temperatures, that trapped moisture can reduce insulation efficiency and cause your feet to feel cold more quickly. If needed, allow your boots to air out and change into dry socks before extended cold-weather use.

How should I choose my boot size?

Please refer to our Size Guide before ordering. If you're between sizes or plan to wear heavy winter socks, we recommend sizing up.

How should I care for my boots?

Remove the liners. Allow boots to air dry naturally after each use. You can use boot dryer for liners only. Avoid direct heat sources and follow our Product Care guide.

Float Suits

Are Norfin float suits Coast Guard approved?

No. Norfin float suits provide flotation assistance but are not Coast Guard approved personal flotation devices (PFDs).

Should I still wear a life jacket?

Yes. Whenever required by law or conditions, always wear a properly fitted Coast Guard-approved life jacket.

How warm are Norfin IceFishing Suits?

Norfin Ice Fishing Suits are designed to provide exceptional warmth in cold-weather conditions. Temperature ratings, where provided, are intended as general performance guidelines rather than guaranteed comfort temperatures. Actual comfort depends on factors such as activity level, wind chill, humidity, layering, physical condition, and the amount of time spent outdoors. It is the user's responsibility to evaluate weather conditions and dress appropriately for the environment.

For the best performance, wear moisture wicking base layers and avoid overheating before prolonged exposure to extreme cold. Spending extended time in heated vehicles, shelters, or other warm environments while wearing insulated clothing can cause perspiration to build up inside your layers. When you return to freezing conditions, that trapped moisture can reduce insulation efficiency and make you feel cold more quickly. If possible, ventilate your clothing, remove excess layers when active, and change into dry clothing if it becomes damp.

Rainwear

Are Norfin rain suits waterproof?

Yes. Our rainwear is built with waterproof
and breathable membrane technology for demanding outdoor conditions.

Are your rain suits PFAS-free?

Yes. All current Norfin
waterproof outerwear—including rainwear and ice fishing suits—uses PFAS-free
DWR technology without compromising waterproof performance.
